1870 Edinburgh map shows it as the top of Lothian rd,section between Morrison st and Fountainbridge junctions.
Not sure if it was named as a section of Lothian rd,or was an individual short rd. Chris.

I was just having a look at these streets on an 1830 map,

While doing so, I noticed that there seems to have been two steets called Maryfield at that time.

The first off lothian road, where Saltire court is now, also one close to the current one, but a section at the top of Easter Road or The Mall as it was then.

And two times Brunswick Street, the current one and also St.Stephens Street.

I would have thought this kind of duplication would have been eliminated, even by 1830!

But, it is quite interesting looking at old maps of edinburgh and seeing how it has changed.
